New Jazz Funk Fusion Album: Synapses Sparked

“Synapses Sparked is my reluctance to make another electronic album. I enjoy mixing things up. With the rise of streaming music I felt as though people are now more open than ever to try on new styles if music. Synapses sparked is my splash of my impressions from a jazzy, funk and fusion vantage point. … Continue reading

Canadian Electronica IDM: Nova Spire – Cerebro EP New EP – Cerebro Analysis Paralysis What I wanted to do with Analysis Paralysis was something for the people that are either wracking their brains and overloaded with doubt. I had come to realized how to do this because I needed a composition that let me allocate a PDF for scoring purposes. It is for a competition that I have decided to export this PDF format. I’ve heard of many different programs that facilitate the process such as Finale, Sibelius and Guitar Pro. But … Continue reading

Encephalon – Psychogenesis (2015) – Review / Dissectional

Encephalon – Psychogenesis (2015)
Psychogenesis Zero I like albums that take me on an adventure of sorts, to another world. These aren’t just singles, this is definitely a cohesive album. This record does it for me. It serves it in various styles or genres but still with a core of electro-industrial and in ways that are compelling and unique unto itself.

Influences on each track are diverse – which is what separates it all for me, through the multitude of influence you have something original and definitively Encephalon.

We descend spiraling into a new setting, dark, cinematic, smashing idiosyncratically, hammering new time signatures on an acoustic drum set.

There are thunderous sawtooth synths that pulsate and morph along to the rhythm. There’s a militant quality to it. A futuristic landscape. Continue reading

How I Remixed deadmau5 – Phantoms Can’t Hang – (Nova Spire Remix) I really dig deadmau5. Specifically for this track and some of his new album. Fantastic mixing skills. On Patching Your Own Synthesizer Sounds

People who create electronic music usually don’t creates patches for there synthesizers. At least, that’s what I have noticed as of late. I think in part it is a matter of the over saturation of edm, again. But It can also be a time consuming affair, it can be a challenge to learn, yet an … Continue reading
